Soon 31 December, it will be party time again for everyone but really not for horses on the contrary.
Horses and fireworks are not a good combination, as even the calmest horses can be startled by the loud noises and sudden flashing lights.

Dealing with horses and fireworks
Good relationship with neighbours then contact your neighbours to find out if they plan to set off fireworks. If they do, explain the dangers and ask them to set off fireworks in a direction far away from your animals.
Decide whether you want to leave your horse at pasture or in its box ....
It is wise to keep your horse in his familiar environment, in his normal routine, with any companions to make him feel safe.
If he is normally outside in the
field, leave him there as long as he is safe, protected and not near the fireworks show.
If your horse must stay in the pasture, check that the fence is secure and that there are no foreign objects lying around that could injure them if they run around.
Turning on radio that is outside the stall that can often mask sudden noises, divert attention and be soothing.
