The gel is handmade. It is therefore possible that there may still be a piece of the herbs used in the gel.
Instructions for use:
Application is easy with the pipette attached to the bottle.
Apply Helmosan skin gel sparingly but thoroughly to the skin to be treated.
The skin gel is best used for the mane and the skin oil for the tail. It is best to treat with the application bottle. It is convenient in size and weight, and the spout cap allows you to apply well between the mane and hair. Afterwards, it is recommended to massage the Helmosan gently. This way, it penetrates the skin better and you can distribute the Helmosan better.
If you treat the mane comb, it is best to draw lines from left to right with a space of about 1 cm in between and then distribute/massage it in with your fingers. If your horse has a thick tail, it is best to cut the hair at the base of the tail short so that you can easily cover the skin with gel using the nozzle. Again, it is best to do this every inch and then gently massage it in with your fingers.
Dosage:
Depending on the state of the skin in the beginning, usually apply twice a day. When you first apply Helmosan to irritated skin, the horse may want to rub because the touch causes extra irritation. But after a few minutes, this irritation disappears and the remedy gives its soothing and caring effect. Make sure you apply t as gently as possible and do not touch the skin with the cap. If, after some time, the skin has recovered sufficiently, you can usually reduce the dose to once a day or every other day and the application is no longer irritating but most horses actually find it pleasant. In some cases, you can even go back to applying every 2 or 3 days. It is different for each animal so it takes some figuring out what works best for your horse. Also, the dosage depends on the weather and the area where you live. With lots of sun and lots of midges, it is advisable to use more often than if it is raining, windy and cloudy or there are not many midges around the horse.
