Description

Why do horses need herbs?

Horses are naturally used to travelling kilometres sometimes for one specific herb. We, unfortunately, often cannot offer those herbs all in one place and not every herb grows on every type of soil. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for many people to adequately support their horses in this need, simply because there is not enough space/pasture. In order to give our horses the best possible base and meet their basic needs for vitamins, minerals and trace elements as much as possible.

It is important to give herb to the horse and see what you can do as an owner to bring the ration back to natural nutrition as closely as possible.

The dandelion:  is a species in the composite family. In this family, flowers are strongly reduced and small, and stand close together in a flower head. In April, they can turn entire meadows yellow. That said, certain micro species and sections can be rare.

Use of herbs for horses safe or not?

Horses respond particularly well to herbs. Herbs balance, balance the body but never go over the indicated dosage.

By using herbs, improvement in the health status of animals progresses gradually, especially when the discomfort or problem had been present for some time.

However, it is wrong to assume that anything natural is harmless! Some herbs can be highly toxic. Giving herbs together with regular drugs could possibly counteract the effect of the drugs or cause complications such as severe colic.

Very occasionally, an allegic reaction ( called 'nettle rash') can occur in horses. The horse gets small bumps all over the body. If this happens, stop giving nettle; the bumps will disappear on their own within 24 hours.
