Horse jitters

My horses with skin irritation

I often see various posts coming by in groups about horses with skin irritation. Most common then is the terrible itching which is usually caused by eczema, mug , mite, cpl or rasp.

I myself have two horses a Tinker and a Friesian. With this breed, this skin irritation is common.

Most importantly what are you going to do about it?

There will never be 1 product that will help with all horses. The most important thing is to find something that suits your horse.

Because I was faced with this problem, I started looking for products that best help MY horses, but preferably on a natural basis. I have been grooming horses almost all my life and yes, I have also tried products with chemical additives but without success. All you want is for your horse to get rid of the skin irritation.

Several years ago, my stablemate alerted me to try neem oil. Massaged a thin layer on my horse's skin (tail/mane) every day for three weeks. My Friesian suffers extremely from summer eczema up to wounds.

I can't say anything else after three weeks of smearing his skin was calm again and the rubbing had stopped. I did have to keep smearing it several times a week because it was just extreme with him.

Neem oil helps against, among other things: Summer eczema, mites, incipient mug, itching, ticks, whole wounds and other skin conditions.

Features:  Anti-inflammatory, itching, heals and cares for wounds, soothing.

Green XL shampoo + leg cleaner

My tinker was stamping so terribly several months ago. Turned out to be mug and mite at the same time.To rub whole legs with neem oil is becoming costly. I started looking for other products that already have good results. Heard very good stories about brand Green Xl. Washed my tinker once a week with horseshampoo and used the leg clean spray several times a week. I was very happy with the result. We are now months on and sir still does not stomp.

Green XL shampoo + leg cleaner helps against, among other things: mitemug, rasp, cpl, flakes and scabs and other skin conditions.

Features: Has a strong double action for optimum hygiene: Removal of adhering residual dirt. Introduction of a healthy and safe microflora on your horse.

Helmosan skin oil

My friend's horse suffered from skin irritation and tried the Helmosan skin oil and she was so satisfied with it that I have taken it into my range.

Helmosan skin oil helps against, among other things: eczema, mug, mite, rasp, and cpl

The reason I started my webshop is because of the experience with my own horses. Breaks your heart you feel helpless when you see him shedding like that and the itching just won't stop. Like to share my experiences and enjoy answering questions. I will never say that my products help every horse.

Neem oil helps super with my fries but not with my tinker. My experience is also really searching and trying out what fits best. I am grateful that I have been able to help a lot of horses with my products and have given good results, but it didn't work for some of them. My advice is too bad I could not help your horse but please continue your search.

I have no commercial angle. I just do this alongside my job in the office. Certain products I am stuck with prices from my suppliers. My own products I keep the prices as low as possible.

I just keep on looking for new products test them or have them tested. Read up on them and I hope for more horses in the future.
